in my modern version i was going to call it "the greed of flesh" because we have so much bit always want more and in doing so we cast things out and here its caught on the barbed wire of life ( the roman soldiers )... our greed is relentless, cruel and unforgiving ... the cloth like flesh hangs caught ....
